don't look now
there is nothing more to life
than the leaping
without the looking
and it took me fifteen years and eleven months
to figure this out
funny how things work out,
sometimes
I played chase with a brown-eyed boy
and we still ended up friends
I moved to the other side of this small town
only to watch the bully name herself victim
and now new things are stirring
and it’s time to take a deep breath
and jump headlong
into everything.
