Slighting the Unseen Opportune
Swirling clouds are in this land -
This land where you are, too.
They burble 'midst the still, glass sky
In effervescence pink and blue
They promenade past and
waltz around you, swooning with drunken entrancement.
Everything glows
When an obscure haze surfaces
A facade of the grandest sort
Each molecule of cloud is sensual
Enrapturing
Nouveau
But you cannot predict clouds' behaviors in this land.
In a flurry of lost interest, the clouds dissipate. The romance, the glory and the wonder are gone.
Memories are so often smeared with the paint of cruel abandonment. 'Tis a paint which yours now wear.
Gnarled into the twist of cardiac misery,
You finally look down
To find the absence
Of those who'd been waiting on the ground.
