Daddys Little Girl
Daddys little girl
broken and frail
opened her eyes to the world around her
nothing's the same
The world is lost
to the bleakness that consumed her
swallowed her whole
spit her out into the darkness
Scratches and bruises trail down her body
uneven and broken
friends never knew the words she spoke upon having bruises placed upon her back
No one knew the sorrow she felt
no one knew what she became
the loneliness and darkness crept into
her soul
Death is what she has come to know
her family laying in coffins among the grave
as she looks upon them
gazing out into the murky abyss
