we are blind men walking
This is the end of our journey.
Here, at least
And none of us can see the way
that we will never be so united
and broken at the same time
and none of us will ever realize that we
are constantly moving and evolving
and we are just humans who
just want to be humans
and we will never fall
and we will never be broken
because we are teenagers
and we are constant
and we are indestructible
and we can never not be
Because we simply are
and we always will be.
That’s all we try to tell anyone
before they laugh and push us off
They’re teenagers
they think they know
e v e r y thing
but, in a way we know what we need to
and that’s enough for now.
Just listen to us.
Just let us be who we are
let us know ourselves before we are told
and retold:
that person isn’t good enough.
We are not machines
we are molten lava
you cannot change us
you cannot make us something we aren’t
you cannot move us
you cannot mold us into what we do not want to be
because we will burn through
because we are teenagers
and we will
because we must.
