They said, No;
so, I said, No,
as well.

They said, Can’t;
so, I said to
myself I couldn’t.

They said, Don’t;
yet my heart for
once said, Do;

But I favored their
praise more than
my wanting.

As time passes
as time always does,
my heart repeats

everyday, when I
remember all that
happened…Should have…

I had an experience some time back. Where my heart said to do something, yet everyone around me said not to. Sometimes, I do regret it. But it's all worked out. Yet, sometimes you should listen to your heart. Only you know what's best for you. Don't live life regretting it.

i love this! the format is creative, i love the way that what they say and what you did/say were seperate. its sad and regrettful and kind of cautionary i guess

Yes this is so true. In life, no matter what others say you should always follow your heart. Even if things go wrong at least you followed your own beliefs and it was by your own desicions and you can learn from that experience to better influence your future judgements. Plus if someone else chooses for you your whole life then you can never experience your own life. It will always be someone elses.
