Can't Go Back(Can't Take It Away)
We can't go back to take your pain away
We could dream a thousand plus one dreams
About how we used to be
The fun times that we laughed
And we had a real and true connection
I had thought that we would last
But I guess that thinking is so far from reality
And reality is so far from what I want out of life
I want to say sorry
But I wouldn't know what words to say
And you would ask me what I was saying sorry for
Its for all of the times I told you I loved you
And all of the times that I said that I hated you
In a blur of white emotions
And I'm sorry for not being there
When your shoulders shook from crying into your pillow
I hope that God answered my prayers
I hope that He sent you an Angel to give you hope
And, baby, I'm actually a really good person
If you give me a chance
And I really hope that maybe we possibly could have an actual chance
To try this things again
And Maybe this time our smiles will last longer
Than a Lover's Second
And then we could dance in a soft bright moonlight
And all of our fantasies could be reality
But that's not likely to happen
I haven't heard many testimonies about true love
Actually being
I don't know
Kind of true
