Acceptance
“Accept it!” he cries
Tears spring to her
Eyes.
Purpose forgotten
Useless and
Nothing can be done.
She backs out the door
Runs from the room
Can she get back to
Who she was before?
It continues to chase her
If a spell she could conjure
She’d make it
All
Go
Away.
How can she accept
The unacceptable?
She does not want it to happen
It still keeps on
Happening.
She feels the cool bathroom tile
Against her trembling body
Right now
She is nobody.
No power
To end this.
Her tears have stopped
Flowing
Realizing she must accept this
She is growing.
