Leaders
I met the world's
leaders
At the playground
When they were
ittle toddlers
falling and tripping
after ev-er-y
step
I knew they
were leaders
from the very
start
all because
they were strangers
And yet
they approached me
with more confidence
than a firefighter
or a police man
They rushed to
the largest most powerful
sprinkler
stopping it with their
Tiny little toddler hands
Making it okay
For the rest of us
To stop it too
They swung
the highest
on rickety old swings
touching the sky
making it okay
for the rest of us
to touch it too
They spilled water
on the steepest slide
and planted their
ity bity bottoms down
quicker than lightning
they slid
making it okay
For the rest of us
to be lighting too
Confidence is contagious
it spreads like the flu
and they
made it okay
to be a sickly child too
