Fall For Poison
Now that I think about it, I guess I never knew that it could happen.
I never knew how it exactly worked, let alone how it would work successfully.
The potion flowed down my shrill throat and landed straight through my blood.
It looked magical, for it contained sparkling, promising purple pixie dust.
Anyone could be tempted by it.
I drank it to its final sip and waited to see what miracles would occur.
What would it bring me? Fortune? Luck? Happily ever after?
But rather than providing me miracles, I choked.
My heart tightened as I gasped for air and a second chance.
But it was too late as my corpse laid there numb.
How could I have been so naïve?
The witch had won, and the forces of evil remained active.
I guess I never knew it.
That I could fall for poison.
That I could fall for you.
