At dawn stands Aries, red, raged Ram, writhing with vigor.
In the morning sits the bull, Taurus, resting on Terra, Stout and Strong.
In the field with the bull play Castor and Pollux, bonds inseparable.
Under the pond sits Cancer, clawing in the abyss through muck and gunk.

At noon grazes the bull, Taurus on high, living off the Earth.
On the savanna prowls Leo, bright and clever as the stars.
Under the tree sleep Castor and Pollux, twins forevermore.
Over yonder watches Virgo, young and beautiful.

At noon stops Leo, to drink from Cancer’s pond, exhausted and agitated.
Libra follows suit, preserving the peace with Lion and Crab.
Virgo sits quietly, enjoying the shade of the tree.
In the pocket of dirt sleeps Scorpio, avoiding the heat of Leo.

Libra smiles warmly, as Leo and Cancer go about their business.
Along the woods tramps the big Centaur, hungry and tired.
Agitated and angry, out comes the Scorpion, stinger and claws bared.
On the beach lay Capricorn, taking in the afternoon sun.

Over all go, as Aquarius prepares the evening bath.
In the twilight, yawns Taurus, resting under the stars.
In the water appear Pisces, now that Cancer sleeps.
In the night returns Leo, hungry more than ever.

Happy is Sagittarius, who shares meat with the Lion.
In their beds lay Castor and Pollux, dreaming about the day they would have tomorrow.
Under the bluff rests the Goat, ba-a-ing to itself as the shooting star appears.
At dusk Aries rests, retiring from it’s rage.

Amazed stands the boy, watching through the telescope.
