A world that runs on money
That feeds off the vary color of green-
By which that is printed
And not by that which is taught.

What do you cherish
At the end of the day?
The air you breath and the food you eat?
Your home and your life?
Your family and friends?

What do you think of:
When you pray at church?
When your life flashes before you?
When you’re stuck in a line-
Waiting for empty dishes and trays?

You see, the human mind,
Your psyche and humanity
Tied together in a bow
Are tossed in the fire of the minds of others,
To see how quickly you burn,
Are you a piece of currency,
Or made of human flesh?

Since when has the abundance of a wallet
Outweigh that of a person’s heart?
That of what they say,
Think and teach?

Even those with snake tongues
That speak riddles and steal
Must learn at some point to survive,
When education only comes
When you can pay thousands and millions
Just to say your ABC’s…

How can you live with yourself,
When you take an oath to save,
But only do when they can pay?

A world that runs on money
Like a greedy man
Fat on his own disgust
How can you live as you watch?
Because let me tell you what you see:
Our world that runs on money
