Parallel Lines
We're parallel lines
In this world we live in.
I see you,
But I can't touch you.
You see me,
But you can't touch me.
I'm right here,
Why can't you notice me?
You're right there,
Why can't I notice you?
You're always there,
And I'm always here.
All we have to do is reach out,
But we don't.
All we have to do is cry out,
But we can't.
We're just parallel lines
In this society we suffer in.
We want nothing more than to touch,
But we can't,
And we never have.
We want nothing more than to love,
But we can't,
And we never will.
