A cleat covered foot hits the ball with a deafening crack! The ball goes flying. Coach yells for first touch. All I hear is the wind in my ears as I sprint to the ball, trapping and turning for a run. As I dribble, I search for a teammate to pass to. Found one! With one last touch I kick the ball across the field. My foot stings from the impact. With hopes high, the girl runs with the ball. In less than a second, she aims and shoots. The goalie dives... We score!
