Bingo
Bingo; astute, proud and gifted.
Gifted in ways never acknowledged by his compatriots.
Compatriots revel in their own glory, casting the jester outside the margins.
Margins even give way, breaking their seemingly strong façade.
Façade characterizes the routine inadequacy emitted by Bingo.
Bingo whimpers as the pristine make-up cascades from his visage.
Visage that conceals the eternal pain, the secret behind the door.
Door of pride slamming to contain the anguish.
Anguish because he never takes center stage.
Stage life in Shakespearean splendor foreign to his senses.
Senses barely remain, only apprehension, reluctance and consternation.
Consternation that the last joke he tells will not even make his mom smile.
