Thawed
Along with shivers comes a pain
A pain the clears the fog
The fog has but blinded us
And slowed us to a slog
As I breathe the cool crisp air
And feel the chill set in
I realize that the warmth before
Has me rotting from within
When my flesh begins to numb
I feel my thoughts return
And the film upon my eyes
Just now begins to burn
But once I close the door behind
And sink beneath the sheets
The bog will reign once more
Until I'm cast upon the streets
