You Said With a Smile
Before I left,
You said with a smile,
See you later alligator.
I’ll see you in a while.
You puffed your cigarette,
Nice and slow,
And never did I ever
Really want to go.
While I was gone
I missed you so much.
I longed for your hugs,
Your kisses, your touch.
Just like that you were gone.
It was only three days later,
I didn’t know what to say but,
I’ll see you later alligator.
