I wish that goodbyes weren't so sad,
And that birthdays were longer.
And at the end of the day, your mind didn't wander into the unknown.
I wish that hellos came more often,
And that getting older was always fun.
And when the ride stops, there would always be another one.
I wish that there was a new friend for everyday,
And that everyday had surprises.
And for it to be easier to always find the best in people.
I wish that words came easy to everyone,
And that parties were spontaneous.
And that someday, we all find what we long for.
