Darling, don’t let superficial spotlights blur
Your vision or
Transient acmes outshine your attributes if
You want to avoid an acute post-fame-hypothermia, because
Once this little show gets over and you are stripped
Of all the comfort,
And glory of renown
In the dark
You’ll be left-sans buffs or buddies- Bare and shivering with
Only the flickering flame of your
Character for lighting and the fire
Of goals (you’ve hopefully held on to) for warmth.
