Anhedonia
Talking to herself
She lay hopeless
She lay still
To inhale would be too much for what she is
She wants to run
She wants to hide
Her feelings woke her up inside
So fragile
So weak
So vulnerable she can’t speak
Becoming more than what you know
It’s more than just a show
Anything less and she would commit
The monsters within
Lay deep beneath her skin
Gasping for light
The days go by
Laughing
Screaming
Crying
Not sure yet to give in
She can’t stomach to say she needs love
Hoping into what can’t be real
I know she screams
I've seen her dreams
She doesn't want to fight
But they are thieves of the night
Steal her heart
Steal her soul
Stealing patients
Stealing time
Taking everything that is mine
