Who Even Knows?
When the words I seek will not grace my lips
I wish I was blind so I could read with my fingertips
Maybe the darkness would help me see
So I could understand the things that can’t be
Maybe then I would not hide my face
And November would not be such a somber place
You don’t know what you have until it’s lost
You always pay the price before you know the cost
You are born already promised to death
You spent most of that time giving up on the rest
You are awake when you should be sleeping
Concentrating on the secrets you’re keeping.
Just take a breath and let it go for now
It will all end somehow
