Thanks To Loss
Loss
is something we, as humans, are used to.
We lose things every day,
from our car keys
to our best friends.
Sometimes we lose our tempers,
or perhaps our sanity.
We lose sleep.
we lose people, our greatest companions.
We lose love;
Orpheus lost Eurydice.
We lose hope,
we lose each other,
and we sometimes lose ourselves.
Maybe we lose weight,
or hair as we grow older.
We lose fights,
we lose friends.
We lose respect,
for others
and for ourselves.
Richard III lost the Battle of Bosworth,
and his entire kingdom.
We lose track of time,
we lose our focus,
we lose faith.
Sometimes we lose control,
wether we want to or not.
Poe lost Clemm,
and then lost his mind.
Cinderella lost her family,
and then prized glass slipper,
but in the end,
she found a prince.
So we may lose things
again and again,
but in the end we will stumble upon something
that will make up for all things lost.
