Regarding Him
I’m changing who I am today,
So I’m taking a look at him anyway.
He’s young, let’s call him baby,
All the girls are sugar in his tea.
When I see him on his bike
I imagine him in the Tour de France
Going a million miles an hour
But always staying with his team.
When he writes love letters
I hope they are for me even though
I see him with someone else all the time.
Not me.
I’m changing, but I hope he doesn’t.
