"A Rose"

Joy fails:
good deeds no longer brighten
this isolation and numbness --
once a rose
the love wilts
each blood red petal withering,
too parched to stand tall? Then
the life! He comes as a
healing antidote --
He offers a new flower
how to laugh
how to shine like the sun once more.
We leave together --
and exist just for each other
in this cold world.
