First Snow MAG
Deep in the night it comes
Covering footprints of summer
Purifying the landscape of the year’s sins
As it falls, each perfect flake a masterpiece
Life
Slows
Down
And takes the time to stop
And look
At the beauty that surrounds it
The sound it makes is like angels landing softly
It makes you want to cry
And laugh
And ponder at the strangeness of it all
Like magic it envelops you in its secrets
Whispering silly wonders in your incredulous ears
Dancing around your lifted soul
Proclaiming its love to your open heart
As it falls, petty evils melt away
And you are left with a blanket sewn with hope
Covering you with its simple promise.
