Her Over Me
She is so beautiful
I am not
She can sing like the angels
I can not
She is tall and flawless
I am short and ruddy
Her voice is gentle and her words are wise
I am loud and outspoken
Her touch is soft and warm
I am too friendly or too cold
Her skin is clear and smooth
Mine is cracked and bumped
She is dressed like a queen
I wear simple jeans
She knows your every thought and worry, every secret
You never once did confide in me
I see why you chose her over me
But now you have her so set my heart free
Give back my time
My memories
My Love
All of which I gave to you freely
I wish to forget you
But honestly I cling to your fading memory
My soul's a wreck
And I still smile
For this is Theater class
And so I must act
I do not let her see what she has stolen from me
I do not let her friend see me cry
She can not understand me
For she understands you better than I
