Dance With Me
Leave me here to sleep,
In pitch black, across the seats.
Don’t wake my sleeping figure,
Please,
Unless tonight you’ll dance with me.
Leave my body weak and numb,
With the music’s growing hum.
No wild-lilied hope shall grow,
For no flowering regret shall I know.
I cannot care, for my own goodness sake,
Each beating breath, more heart to break.
Trust is too much faith for pain,
Too many chances, all in vain.
Please just dance with me tonight,
While I’m too weak to put up a fight.
Let’s not complicate what once was clear.
And silence every lasting fear.
