Change
You simply can’t change things; one does not have that kind of power
You cannot change the way other people think
Nor how they act
You can’t change the way you look
You can’t change who your parents are
You cannot change the things that make you, you
You can cry about it
Or you can simply accept it
Some things just cannot be changed
The things that make you strictly you
But you can change how you think
Or how you view the world around you
You can change who you hang out with
The things you can change have to do with the way you think
NOT who you are
