An Unprotected Heart
I guess I have to write you something,
something to make your day.
About, how to me, you’re so much different,
different in every way.
When a smile on your face, isn’t enough at times,
times when things are hard.
Then I’ll write to you with all my feelings,
feelings straight from my heart.
The look in your eyes when I cheer you up,
up from all the dreary and dismal stuff.
A huge smile comes over your face,
face the world, try to be tough.
I’ll be here to catch you, anytime you fall,
fall on my knees and pray for more,
time with you, here, in my arms
arms wide open to protect you from harm.
I’ll tell you how much, I really truly care,
care about your life and what’s a guy to do?,
granting unbelievable wishes,
wishes, these, are coming true!
