Be Free
All I want to do is be free
But I've got some weights tied to my ankles
Each one has their own reason
To weigh me down
They just don't know they're weighing me down
And I like awake each night
Staring into the darkness
Begging for the right pair of wings
One that can lift me with the weights
Only I know, it's not wings I need
I need a big pair of scissors
To cut the weights away
I wonder what they would ave to say
As they see me escape into the sky
Some would miss me
They became a weight
When they wouldn't let me be free
Others wouldn't miss me
Although they were the hardest to cut away
I wanted so badly to stay with them
Lucky for them
i figured out my priorities
And flew
