my emotions are visible
some days my eyes only see shades of gray
my vision is blurry
and the world looks far too dangerous
to keep my eyes open
other days, I see shades of red and green
my brain is a whirlwind
my thoughts are angrier than ever before
most days I see in shades of blue
no sun, only rain
it seems as though the tears from the sky
are trying to drown me
sometimes I see shades of pink and purple
I feel light and happy
I can finally feel the warmth of the sun again
these shades of colors
do not define my life
but certainly affect
what I see
and what sees me
