A Slam

Open, shut goes the door,
boom,
there it is again.
It opens again,
boom,
another sound. A slam.
The yell of the door,
boom,
it halts in place.
Boom,
the slamming of the door,
rocks me to sleep.
I am comforted by the
boom,
that plagued my childhood.
Boom,
the door will always go
boom.
