I Need You
Let's pretend,
for only just a minute,
that everything is okay.
The stars and the moons,
they are exactly where they belong.
The sounds are all familiar,
and everything is fine.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
fast forward
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Something is wrong.
It could be that nothing is wrong.
But it is not ever that easy,
things need to be wrong,
in order to be right.
Something is missing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
fast forward
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everything is still alright,
perfect,
almost.
Fights have been fought,
"I love you" has been said,
and laughter has replaced tears.
But still something is missing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
fast forward
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Something is wrong again,
different then the last time.
Now it is not nothing,
but something.
Laying in bed,
feel the emptiness,
pouring out from the dark.
This isn't right.
Hearts aren't made to feel like this.
Then I realize,
I know what's been missing.
Because it's not true,
the stars and the moons,
they aren't where they should be.
The sounds,
they aren't familiar at all,
and nothing is fine.
Because you shouldn't be there.
You should be here,
with me,
together....
I need you
