Gone.
I'm not quite sure when I lost it.
I don't recall when it fell between the cracks in the car with my loose change,
Can't remember the day I found it melted in the laundry with my forgotten guitar picks,
Nor the time I slid it into the wrong folder with my history assignment.
I just know that it left me.
Left blowing with the papers that fell from my backpack,
Traveling in that taxi I couldn't catch this morning,
Floating through life with the choices I could have made.
