One: He becomes a deadbeat the moment he becomes a father.

Two: My father leaves.

Three: My mother is working three jobs just to stay afloat.

Four: I wanted to know where daddy was.

Five: I never got my answer.

Six: My mom goes back to school. 

Seven: She says it’ll get easier one day.

Eight: It doesn’t.

Nine: I’m not making friends at school.

Ten: I don’t really care as long as I have books.

Eleven: I start to stay home by myself.

Twelve: I’m alone all the time.

Thirteen: I have thoughts of suicide.

Fourteen: I start drinking and doing drugs.
