The Dark Side of Truth
Lying is my specialty
But truth to be told, I'm kinda bad in reality.
Isn't it strange?
That the truth seems the most suspicious in a daze?
I'm an innocent soul in these peoples' eyes,
I can't believe they fall for these lies.
"Never judge a book by its cover", they say
There is more meaning behind this I portray.
But sometimes, even though I show a happy face
Deep down inside, I dwell in a sad fate.
It seems that 5 years already passed
Eversince I made a deal with that monster's cast
A contract that I signed whether or not I'll erase the past.
It took over my body and said..."let's see how long you'll last."
I was a fool,
I was possessed by devils like a tool
I cried for lost light
But instead of tears, I enjoyed it with delight.
I can no longer be saved
Even though I'm lonely, I won't change.
I was just given a chance for my wish to be granted
I don't know anymore, but it looks like I've been slammed by the door.
Now that I've mastered the art of lying
There's no point in me defying
The turbulent blurred sky seems so bright
It's a sign, my lifeline isn't completely masked by blight.
Exactly how my heart is tainted
I do believe that black and white should be painted.
Never thought I'd be tied up to the rope
But in my sight, you are the people who'll fill me with hope.
