If the antidote for your suffering
Is discovered to be a poison
That runs you through with agony
But cures what’s made you ill
For weeks and months and years
Are you truly whole at last
Or do you trade one torture for another
Is the freedom worth its price
If you find what you’re desperate for
But it’s marked with gaping faults
Is your healing, such a profit
Worth the pain, so high a cost?
