Nature's Cry
Streams flow with clear waters
Glistening above the surface like diamonds
Leaves rustling in the wind
Almost as if a conversation below the trees
Swinging branches sway in the cold breeze after the storm
As though to wave at the scorching sun
Woody stems clash in the harsh blows
Spitting the drops of rain water onto each other in revenge
Revenge for the many times the rain betrayed them
The rain slips down the tree trunks like tears
Staining the cheeks of a depressed teenager
The rain, though it had passed
Stained the damp ground with a sweet smell
Zoom out and you find a small patch of land in a prairie
What we see so big and wondrous
Proves to be nothing more
Than a single thread in a great tapestry
