Don't be afraid to show the world who you really are.

Holding onto your mother's arms,

the sweet scent of apples and roses lingers

onto your clothing as she promised

to stay by your side forever.

The embrace, so loving, so sweet, so tender.

Your mind believes that this moment can never

pass you by. When the acceleration of time

catches up to you and you realize that the moments

you shared. The loving, the tender and the oh so sweet moments you shared have long past by and it is

now time for you to stand on your own.

To repeat the cycle and make the same

promises with your younger self and

embrace the times youve shared together.

For they will not last forever.

Hey, we all grow up sometimes. This poem just describes how the young child who was so used to being under his mother's wing had to spread his wings and repeat the cycle of parenthood.
