The Reflection on the Wall
You're only a blank canvas waiting anxiously to be
filled with color, just a lifeless prism bouncing
everything you come into contact with
in the opposite direction.
All you are is a vacant portal but on the
contrary you lead to no where staring right
back into these ocean blue eyes of mine.
I keep blaming you for the atrocity I
associate myself with, when in all
reality: it's just me.
My mind bleeds poison onto your sleek
structure, it turns and hides away from what
reflects back; It tells me I will never suffice,
choking me alive with every last flaw I possess.
I know what will radiate back from your face
every single time, but for unknown reasons
I keep coming back to you to be taunted
in this continual charade.
If only I could see what everyone else does, mirror.
