Trapped
Do you remember when we’d lay together?
Our hands woven so intricately that even if I wanted to let go,
I couldn’t.
Do you remember when I would run my fingers through your hair?
And how you’d do the same with mine?
What about when we’d talk under the stars?
I thought I knew what true love was
when I found you.
Do you remember how many times we’d said “I love you”?
Or how strong we were together?
How about how it felt to break my heart
when you said goodbye?
Do you remember how much I loved you?
Yeah, neither do I.
