The warmth of July
All the stars fell down tonight
Charred, faint glowing spheres
They came to remind us
About the other things out there
Beyond our secluded little globe
June was memorable
Littered with contamination
All the roads
Leading to that one point
Cracked straight down the middle
And fell away pointlessly
It seems as if our world
Has begun to crumble
All this persuasion
To bring one stout man home
And shove the jagged edges together
Somehow molding something
That used to be
Whoever said
That every moment exists separately
Better have been right
Ecstasy floods that one scene
All the rest is darkness
