Poem 26
My soul is like
the white dove
flying towards the sun.
My wings meet the
welcoming rays of the
sun, stretching to embrace me.
Enveloped in warmth
as I am
I'm not sure
I could glow brighter
until the familiar tug
of the chain on my
ankle drags me back
to earth.
