The things l remember when l would stay up late with my older siblings
These are the things l remember when l would stay up late with my three older siblings:
Coloring Hello Kitty books
Watching Emperor's New Groove, Napoleon Dynamite, Annie, and The Iron Giant
And continually quoting them
Listening to old songs we listened to eight years ago
Watching Dragon Tales
Singing our hearts out to Taylor Swift’s new songs
Adding new dreadlocks to our hair
Looking at old and embarrassing pictures
Talking like lunatics because we’re so tired
Acting stupid
Cuddling up together
Making faces at each other
My oldest sister trying to teach us spanish
The rest of us all repeating what she says in a robotic voice
Laughing at how dumb we look and sound
Taking pictures on photo booth
And getting cramps from laughing so hard at them
Trying to play a board game
Attempting to sing along to a song we hardly know
Falling asleep under a fort we made out of pillows and blankets
And waking up the next morning with all of it on top of us
