Freaking Ridiculous
Said in anger and frustration,
Used to describe any and all situations,
Often used to tear down but hardly ever to build up,
Said when an answer is not satisfactory.
Absurd, foolish, laughable,
Is that really how you think and feel about us,
That we are RIDICULOUS?
You’ve given the word a negative connotation.
Why is making a mistake,
Accidentally falling asleep,
Forgetting to do my chores,
Or simply bring a teenager, such a bad thing?
The imperfections you yell and scream about,
They make me me,
And I am human,
And I am imperfect.
So, Mom,
Why is being me,
Doing my best,
And being my own person,
So FREAKING RIDICULOUS?
