Hunger Always Kills The Prey
Predators’ hunger feeds motivation.
Weakened body, starvation eats away,
the stomach achingly cries.
Eyes hastily scan the land,
locking on the prey.
Determination surges,
blood rushes, adrenaline kicks.
Legs move at a rampant speed.
Jaws clamp the neck, the prey wails.
Teeth slice deep into the skin.
Blood gushes.
The hearts beats…
Thump thump thump thump
Thump thump thump
Thump… thump
Thump
To silence.
As the heavy eyes close,
to the darkness of midnight.
Body collapses, weak and heavy.
As family watches near by,
Hunger always kills the prey.
