Waiting for the Sun
One minute, two minutes,
One hour, one day.
Counting the seconds until I can say
"I am here."
I wait for the moments,
Moments good, or just not bad.
You see I'm not perfect,
More than miles away.
Today I wish for yesterday,
In every single, possible way.
I have a new nature,
But the old still fights.
I wait for the day
When I turn on the lights
And realize I am here.
I am home.
