Imperfect
Once upon a time:
There was a girl who strived to be perfect.
She lived among the clouds,
Where perfection was all that mattered.
Except one day she fell from this utopia.
But she quickly pulled herself up,
Until she fell again.
This time was worse:
She kept falling,
Until she had forgotten what the stars looked like when they sparkled at night.
She fell until she hit a city where she suffocated in the smoggy air.
Her legs were battered and bruised,
And she knew she could never return to the place from where she had come.
They would never accept someone as imperfect as her.
So she vowed to look down everyday,
Ashamed of how she had strayed from perfection.
But one day she dared to look up,
And through the grey sky she caught a glimpse of that place she used to call home.
She kept this glimpse of perfection with her while she carried on with her perfectly imperfect new life.

It is okay to be imperfect. It is okay to be broken, battered and bruised. It is okay to not be okay. It will all be okay. In the end, it's all okay. If it's not okay, it's not the end. Hang in there. <3
