Disassembly
My life is flying apart
Like trying to assemble clockwork next to a heavy duty magnet.
As soon as the pieces all fall into place,
They are torn apart once more.
I live in a swirling void of depression
The black hole of internal darkness
Everyone around me is sucked in
I take my friends’ hands as they tumble in
I absorb their pain
Then they float away
Leaving me with all of mine
And much of theirs
And I am pulled further
A lone spread-eagled body drifting through the black void.
