Candle-lit Girl in Cerulean
Surely, this is no Ode to Marie
but a girl’s tale of chasing
soft comet whispers
that melt and ebb
like silk mirages.
Mesmeric gray luster,
the color of icicle oysters
and your eyes, lucid as rain.
Bright like starlit amber,
drifting like an unassuming breeze,
fleeting like the flutter of a sinful eyelash,
Unsure of its beauty.
Smiling, tranquil and pure,
like beach day summer dreaming
Of the girl with cerulean laughter.
