July 26th.  The day that was supposed to be filled with joy, with happiness.  When I was little he would tell me, "You're my world," without my world there's no me.  I didn't understand much at the time, but now I do.  I know what it feels like to have a world taken away from you.  To be that somebody who's life is destroyed.  July 26th, I was supposed to be there for him, share my wishes.  As I got older he started to change his words.  He would say, "I will kill you before I let you leave."  I believed it, too.  Where does all this anger come from?  I lay awake letting my thoughts overwhelm me. July 26th, the day goes by me as I forget.  I remember my first nephew, baby j we called him. I remember his first baby step his 6th birthday I missed. I remember my baby brother, Nico. How he used to always say im just the baby when he got in trouble. I missed his 6th birthday. I remember my dad, how he used to give me piggy back rides up and down the stairs. I remeber your smile. I remeber us. I remeber home. I remeber july 26th. Happy birthday daddy.
